The kids have been hankering to go see Uncle Joe, Aunt Valerie and their cousin Olivia, and since Tony has off the week between Christmas and New Year's we made a last-minute trip over to Baltimore. The kids did great on the trip (about 4.5 hours), and enjoyed playing with Olivia, who's now walking and talking. They each took a turn walking Harvey the dog. Rene got a chance to see a real bay ("bay" was one of her vocabulary words a few months ago and when I asked her what a bay was, she said it was "where the watermelons grow" ;-).
