Gramma and Grampa Polley came for a few days. The kids were so excited to see them. We let the kids stay home from school on Monday to visit with them. Gramma taught Rene how to do latch hook and Rene's working on a large goldfish design, even following a pattern chart. Gramma brought Corrina a Dick and Jane book and Corrina is SO PROUD that she can read it alone, and especially proud of the fact that she can read a book that is long enough to require the use of a bookmark. She will say "Okay, let's pause the book," (computer-ese?) and inserts the bookmark. Grampa (aka "Uncle Joe" to Hank!) got to go watch Hank at gymnastics. We ended the visit last night with a very pleasant hoagie picnic in the park, where we saw some ducklings down at the lake.
