Hank is at diabetes camp in Slippery Rock, PA this week. It's a traditional summer camp except they have a medical center and a staff of doctors and nurses and all the campers have diabetes :)   This is Hank's third year and he moved up to the Catalpa cabin this year :)

It is so wonderful that Hank can have a week of independence from us, and we get a break managing his diabetes. But I miss him so much!!  When we packed, I asked how many stamped envelopes he wanted... and he said "maybe one?"  Ahh Hank!!  So I gave him one envelope, and have anxiously checked the  mailbox every day this week.  Finally today, Friday, the day I am leaving to pick him up, I was rewarded with a letter!

I'm such a happy mom today!
