John and I went to the Farmer's Market this morning. I wasn't going to share this story, but it's provided so much entertainment for my brothers, I guess I must. At the farmer's market there were samples of jam in little cups...I grabbed one, took a look, and then just used my tongue to lick some jam out of the cup. The vendor came over and gave me such a hard time, saying I may not be familiar with it, but we have these utensils called a spoon, maybe I should give it a try. Then he steered me back to the back rack, where he sells his alcohol-spiked jams, saying these would be more my style :)
John took us on the Wolf River Greenway, a new rails-to-trails. We went along the Wolf River and saw tons of turtles, wild muscadines, red fire ants, dragonflies, and sassafras. Don't the kids look happy in that first picture!!
Afterwards we got some food, Nee Nee decided to teach the kids how to wash dishes, and then they cooled down in the pool.
