Ocean City, MD

It had been so long since the kids had a vacation, this year I made it a priority to take them. Corrina helped find a hotel - the Flamingo, right at the end of the boardwalk, and ocean-side, so only steps from the beach. Apart from the difficulty in finding gluten free food on the boardwalk and Hank getting glutened at an expensive Italian restaurant, we had a fabulous time :) Boardwalk fries (about the only thing that is gluten free on the boardwalk - without the malt vinegar, that is!)

Fun on the beach

Rainbow over the ocean after a fast but intense storm. We learned quickly that you are not allowed to be on the beach during a storm!

Minigolf with extra water traps after the storm :)
The Italian restaurant that reassured me they had gluten free pasta. We spent a lot of money and ate a lot (clams and pasta, yum!) and the chef was a bit crazy - turning up dance music and dancing with the lady guests. But within a few hours it was clear that Hank had been exposed :(

Another boardwalk day. We found out we were a week too early for Jesus week! Darn! :P
Bayside for fresh steamed crabs and shrimp. Everybody liked the idea, but after a smashing the poor crabs with a hammer Corrina was done, and Hank decided crabs are far to much work for what you get.
Took a bus down to the inlet to see the crazy part of the boardwalk at night. One ride on the ferris wheel was enough and we were ready to get away from all the people!

OC Rocket! We saw so many dolphins!

And the trip home took an extra THREE hours because of horrible traffic! We did have an amusing dinner at a Denny's. Food wasn't so impressive, but the waiter was ;)
