Two wins! I believe we have a streak :)

There was one very controversial call - SHAHA scored but it the goal was recalled - because Hank and his coach pointed out that the net was off it's moorings but the ref hadn't noticed to blow the whistle. The net came loose a lot this game, on both sides (and yes this was a home game at Ice Castle).  I enjoyed the pics of the team coming to consult Hank on the net problem while the refs were making a decision.  Regardless, it wouldn't have changed the outcome - another win!!

VICTORY!!!!! Congratulations Predators!
First win this season, 1-0 over Steel City and it felt great. A shutout for Hank! What a thrilling game and I am SO. VERY. PROUD!

Hank had a low blood sugar between 2nd and 3rd period, but he ate some glucose tablets and soldiered on. I saw Hank over there not looking right and eating glucose tablets, and I was nervous he might let a goal in because he went back on the ice without enough time for his blood sugar to come back up (it takes about 15 minutes - and while it's low it's hard to stand up much less play hockey!). And more importantly, I was so touched by seeing Sam and some other teammates come over to check on Hank and make sure he was okay and show their support.

Another action-filled hockey day in Pittsburgh. Another loss, but Hank made one of his best saves ever. Hank had slid to the right post leaving the left side of the net exposed. A kid happened to have a clear shot at it, but somehow Hank was able to switch direction and pop his hand out and snag the puck right out of the air with his glove.

Cambria County War Memorial - HOCKEYVILLE

Hank's hockey team got to play at the Hockeyville USA stadium at Johnstown today! Newly renovated this year; the Penguins played a pre-season game there. Predators did not win, but Hank had a great game and enjoyed the stadium. (One and a half hour drive to get there!)
