Yesterday was a busy day. In the morning Hank and I took the girls to school and then went to gymnastics. They had a giant inflatable slide. The first two children to climb up were too scared to slide down and started wailing - the other parents were afraid that would scare the rest of the kids, but Hank loved it - it was very high and very fast, but very fun!

After picking up the girls at school we went to a Care Bear event at a small mall near here. They had crafts, coloring tables, story time, a pizza lunch, and the best of all - the kids got a meet a Care Bear! It was Bedtime Bear and they also got a free picture at Sears (a LONG wait for the picture, but it was the only place to meet the Care Bear OF COURSE!) Here are the proofs. We ordered the 2nd one for our free 8x10. It will be a great souvenir for the girls because they love the Care Bears - notice the girls are carrying their own stuffed CareBears. Hank wouldn't get his picture made - he's still too attached to his mommy :-).

We were disappointed to find that one of our hangouts at the mall - Dino Kingdom indoor play space had closed down this week :-(

Afterwards Rene had skating lessons and she is doing great - her favorite things are "skating fast" and going around in tight little circles (almost spinning!) The class is for 6 to 12 year olds. An older girl befriended Rene....Rene is so proud that she can skate faster than her skating friend!
