Today we received the quilt block that Gramma Polley made to represent Hank in the Diabetes "Quilt for Life". In this quilt, each block represents a child with diabetes. It travels the country, and is intended to increase awareness of childhood diabetes, and to increase support for research to cure this disease, much like the AIDS quilt promotes AIDS awareness. This summer the diabetes quilt will be displayed on the Mall in Washington DC (Click here for the press release.) We are so happy Hank will be represented for this event. Hank is so proud of his quilt. Thank you Gramma!
