Hank's diabetes walk was a HUGE success! He raised just over $2000, well over his goal of $1000. So he will get the Golden Sneaker Award. We had beautiful weather for the walk - 72 degrees and clear skies. They have activities set up for the kids before and after. Perceptive Hank just said this week, "How come there's not a walk to cure celiac?" Smart boy.
We thank everyone for their generosity in supporting Hank's cause. We were especially awed this year because my aunt and cousin showed our walk letter to a coworker - and their office had a pizza fundraiser, raising $250 to help Hank meet his goal!! What generosity to support a little boy they had not met, but they wanted to help him find his cure.
