We had wonderful weather for Hank's JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes this year! We got up early on walk day and enjoyed some of the kid activities (bouncy tents, color hairspray, etc). Unfortunately Rene had a really bad cold and was too sick to walk. We were all so sad she couldn't walk with us.
Hank's fundraising was very successful - he raised over $1200 for diabetes research, and will receive another Golden Sneaker Award for his efforts. The Golden Sneaker is actually clear acrylic, and the first few years wasn't even shaped like a sneaker! But Hank treasures his collection just the same :)
