Corrina and Rene are altar servers at church. They wear white hooded albs (robes), light the candles on the altar, walk in the procession into church with the priest (Rene carries a large cross), and help him during mass by holding the book he reads from, bringing items to the altar, holding things ready for him, pouring water over his hands, preparing incense, etc. If they serve at weddings and funerals they are usually given a $10 stipend. At regular masses, the reward is the joy of doing a service :)
